About Richlen Construction

Our history is based on 35 years of commercial construction stories!

Rich Zavala and his partner at the time named Len, established Richlen Construction in June of 1978. The partners won a contract award at the Alcoa Building. What started out as a straightforward sheetrock job soon turned Richlen Construction into a San Francisco General Contractor.

Richlen provides all General Contracting services required for maintaining and retrofitting Class A high rise buildings in the Bay Area. These services include, but are not limited to, Lobby Renovations, replacement of outdated building plants (cooling towers, domestic water risers, bus duct replacement, seismic upgrades, roof replacement, etc), and all levels of tenant improvements. Our clients represent large corporations (Shorenstein, Jones Lang LaSalle, Wells Fargo, Hitachi, Regus Business Centers) to small businesses (Rainin Group, Toaster Oven Restaurant(s), Colemont Insurance). Richlen has established relationships and is fortunate to work with the area's finest architects, engineers, property managers, and subcontractors. We maintain a repeat customer base throughout the San Francisco Bay Area [all 6,900 square miles of the metropolitan region!], that allows us to stay competitive, while bringing our build experience to new generations and brand new businesses!

Richlen's Superintendents are a diverse team of respectable Union members.
